Wasim Akram Speaks Up On PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s Arrest
Wasim Akram, the “King of Swing,” has recently praised the former Prime Minister for his contributions to the nation. He is regarded as one of the finest leaders in Pakistan’s history.
He has repeatedly demonstrated his greatness as a leader. On behalf of all Muslim nations, he raised the issue of Islamophobia at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). As a result of his efforts, a resolution was enacted designating March 15 as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.
In addition, he invited many businesspeople from around the globe, particularly from the United States and the United Arab Emirates, to invest in Pakistani enterprises and make Pakistan a business-friendly nation.
His vision as prime minister was to make the country pure and verdant. And he emphasized the transition from fossil fuels to renewable, eco-friendly sources. He also defended the Balochistani people, who were not given priority due to their small population.
He pledged to disseminate health certificates to the residents of Gawader and construct a desalination facility to provide clean, potable water to the Balochis.
In addition, he performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gawadar International Airport, which will be the world’s largest airport upon completion. However, it remains unclear when it will become operational. According to sources, the current prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, will inaugurate the airport.
He also recruited several mobile phone manufacturers, including Xiaomi, Samsung, Realme, and Vivo, to manufacture phones in the country in an effort to provide affordable phones to the people.
On his Twitter account, ‘King of Swing’ Wasim Akram praised the former prime minister by stating, ‘You are one individual, but you have the fortitude of millions.’
He urged the former Pakistani captain to remain courageous. It is important to note that Imran Khan was detained by the Rangers at the Islamabad High Court. However, many admirers and politicians criticized Akram for this remark.
