Sohail Tanveer Bids Farewell To International Cricket
Pakistani pacer Sohail Tanveer has announced his retirement from international cricket on social media but he will continue to play domestic cricket and franchise cricket.
Sohail Tanveer made his debut in international cricket with a T20 against India in 2007. And he played the last match in Pakistan’s jersey in April 2017. The star cricketer thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board for giving him the opportunity at the international level.
The career was virtually over long ago. Still, he was hoping, at least he would get a call once more. But that opportunity did not happen. Finally, Sohail Tanveer says goodbye to international cricket. This left-arm pacer of extraordinary action has officially announced his retirement.
In a message on the official Twitter account, Sohail Tanveer wrote,
Announcement: I am retiring from all formats of international cricket and will continue to play domestic and franchise cricket going forward. Thank you to @TheRealPCB for giving me the opportunity to play for my country 🇵🇰

Sohail Tanvir has played 62 ODIs, 57 T20Is, and 2 Tests for Pakistan. He has a total of 71 wickets in ODIs and 54 wickets in T20Is. Sohail Tanveer has beaten the ball in almost all the franchise leagues of the world including IPL, and BPL. Tanveer made his debut for the national team in 2007. He last played in mid-2017. 62 ODIs in all. Tanveer has played 57 T20 and 2 Test matches. He has taken 71 wickets in ODIs, 54 wickets in T20Is, and 5 wickets in Tests.
