Shahid Afridi Will Not Play Remaining PSL 7 Matches

PSL 2022: Shahid Afridi Will Not Play Remaining PSL 7 Matches Due to Fitness Issues. Quetta Gladiators, competing in the Pakistan Super League, were dealt a major setback on Sunday when legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi announced his withdrawal from the competition.

After playing in Quetta’s win against Islamabad United, Afridi made his announcement. While playing, Afridi was unable to continue due to an injury, as stated in a video message he posted. This ache in my body has gotten so bad that I can no longer stand it,” Afridi lamented.

“I wanted to finish the PSL season on a high note for my supporters, but I am unable to do so at this time.” “I’m sorry to Quetta Gladiators’ management and to my supporters,” he apologized.

Afridi has promised to begin his recuperation as soon as possible and hopes to play again for Kashmir Premie League in the near future. He admitted that the 15-year-old back problem he’s been carrying about is finally starting to bother him.

“My whole body was hurting, it was happening from the first game here, and last night it was just terrible,” Afridi said after announcing his retirement. However, “I know this is a difficult decision,” he said, “but health comes first.”
