PSL 2022: PCB Fined Jason Roy for Showing Dissent at Umpire Decision in PSL 7. In the 20th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7 held at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday, Quetta Gladiators opener Jason Roy was fined for dissenting against the umpire’s decision to call him out of Shaheen’s second ball.
As per the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) code of conduct, Roy was found to have breached article 2.21. As a result, Roy has been fined 5% of his match fee. Match official Roshan Mahanama accused Roy of violating the code of conduct, and he admitted his error.
The Gladiators’ defeat by Qalandars means they remain in fourth place with three wins and four losses. In their eighth PSL 7 encounter of the season, they will face Peshawar Zalmi.
