KL Rahul Uncertain fo WTC 2023 Final
Lucknow Super Giants Indian batsman Lokesh Rahul has withdrawn from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury. At the same time, KL Rahul is uncertain to play for India in the final of the World Test Championship – WTC 2023 in June.
Lucknow team management confirmed Rahul’s elimination from IPL. Earlier, Rahul suffered a hamstring injury in his right leg while fielding in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday.
Lokesh Rahul could not field in the match due to injury. Later, Rahul was unable to score runs even though he came down as the last batsman. The batsman could not play in the next match against Chennai Super Kings.
Rahul is under the supervision of the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) in Mumbai for a scan. The BCCI will take a final decision on Rahul’s playing in the World Test Championship after receiving the scan report. India will play the final of the Test Championship against Australia at the Oval on June 7.
Rahul underwent hernia surgery in Germany last year. He was out of the national team for a long time. Rahul has played 47 Tests, 54 ODIs, and 72 T20Is for India.
