Brain Lara Appointed as Sunrisers Hyderabad New Head Coach
Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced their head coach prior to the 2018 IPL season. Sunrisers Hyderabad has replaced Tom Moody as a new head coach with former cricket legend Brian Lara. It is stated that the administration of Hyderabad and Tom Moody have mutually decided to sever their connection. Moody led the Orange Army to a very dismal showing in the 2022 IPL.
Concerning Moody’s leaving, Hyderabad tweeted, ‘We would like to thank Moody for his contributions as his contract with us expires. It was a pleasant ride throughout the years, and we wish him well for the future.’
Previously, Moody served as the head coach of Hyderabad from 2013 until 2019. He won the 2016 IPL championship alongside David Warner. Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman was one of the team’s top performers.
On Saturday, Hyderabad tweeted a photo of Brian Lara with the following caption: “Cricket world icon Brian Lara is our head coach for the next IPL season.” Meanwhile, Moody, who departed Hyderabad, is expected to join UAE League’s Desert Vipers as Director of Cricket.
The Indian Premier League team Sunrisers Hyderabad has a new head coach. This IPL franchise’s head coach is the ‘famous’ cricketer from the Caribbean, Brian Lara. The ‘famous’ West Indian batsman has never served as the head coach of a T20 franchise league. With IPL, Lara will be perceived as the T20 team’s coach. Tom Moody has previously coached the team many times. In 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the IPL for the first time under his direction.
