Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe Series 2022 Postponed Once Again

The Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe 2022 series postponed once again. The series was supposed to be held in December 2021. The tour was later postponed at the request of the Afghanistan Cricket Board. The two teams were scheduled to play the series in Harare in early February this year. But now that is not possible. The AFG vs ZIM 2022 series has been postponed once again due to copyright issues.

The two teams were scheduled to play three ODIs and a five-match T20 series during the tour. These included three ODIs in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board issued a statement on Friday (February 26th) regarding the postponement of the series.

The statement from the Zimbabwe Cricket Board said: “Unfortunately, due to many cricket events taking place in other parts of the world, Zimbabwe has not been able to secure all the necessary broadcasting services, including the Cricket Decision Review System. So the series has been postponed.

We were very interested in hosting Afghanistan,” said Givmore Makoni, managing director of the Zimbabwe Cricket Board. But given the situation, postponing the tour was the only option. However, we are looking forward to rescheduling the series as soon as possible.

On the other hand, Afghanistan is likely to come to Bangladesh to play the series in February. The series has three ODIs and two T20I matches. The ODIs in this series are part of the ICC Super League.
